This induction is mandatory for all new recruits and reflects the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate, and compliant care across every shift. The programme covers: Understanding the role of a care assistant in residential and nursing settings Person-centred care and promoting dignity and choice Manual handling and safe moving & positioning techniques Infection prevention and control in line with current guidelines Safeguarding adults and recognising and reporting concerns Health and safety in care environments Medication awareness and reporting procedures Professional boundaries and effective communication Agency expectations, policies, and code of conduct Delivered by qualified trainers with real care sector experience, the course blends classroom-based learning, practical demonstrations, group discussions, and scenario-based assessments. All staff completing the programme receive a certificate of completion and are deemed ready to take on assignments with OCWJ Care Group’s partner services. This ensures clients receive staff who are not only compliant but truly care-ready.
